Charles A. “Chip” Reinhardt, Jr.
Charles A. "Chip" Reinhardt, Jr. was born on April 2, 1953 and raised
in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved to his true home in Durham in 1976. He holds a double major B.A. degree from Erskine College (1974), and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Law
(1976). He is licensed to practice law both in North Carolina and in Florida (inactive status), and has been a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law since 1993. He has
been closing residential and commercial real estate transactions in the Triangle area for almost thirty years. Chip married his Erskine College sweetheart, the former Cathy Yantz, in 1974, and they have
four children ranging in age from sixteen to twenty-nine years old. Chip, Cathy and the two youngest children make their home here in Durham. Chip, an Eagle Scout
himself, has been actively involved with the Boy Scout program as an adult leader since 1981. He currently serves Boy Scouting as an Assistant Cubmaster and Chartered Organization Representative for Cub Scout Pack 451, an Assistant Scoutmaster and Chartered Organization Representative for Boy Scout Troop 451. He is an elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church, and attorney for and board member of Housing for New Hope, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to
providing low income and transitional housing opportunities for the less fortunate in Durham. Outside of these activities, he spends hours tinkering with computer hardware and software,
including the design and maintenance of our firm’s web page. He is also a licensed amateur "ham" radio operator and especially enjoys camping, backpacking, reading and just taking it easy in his
spare time.
